Thesis Frigga Kruse
On 19 December 2013 Frigga Kruse will defend her thesis FROZEN ASSETS British mining, exploration, and geopolitics on Spitsbergen, 1904-53 at the University of Groningen. After the defence there will be a symposium about Arctic mining.

The Dutch Polair Symposium will take place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague on 1 November 2013. The symposium is entitled Polar science and policy: a happy marriage? and will focus on the policy and economic relevance of Dutch Polar science.
