100 years since Amundsen
14 December 2011 - Boothzaal, University Library, Utrecht
We look back on a succesfull national Polar Symposium that took place at Utrecht University on 14 December 2011. On that day it was exactly 100 years ago that Amundsen and his team reached the geographical South Pole. Therefore, the symposium, entitled Exploring polar regions - 100 years since Amundsen, focused on past and ongoing changes in the Arctic and the Antarctic.
